Why is auto-deploys only enabled on private github repos and not public repos?

Autodeploy for my public repo is not working. I think it is because of this piece of code that ensures the repo is not public. Does anyone know why?

Figured it out. Even though you may have a public repo, you need to select private repo in coolify when creating the app for it to work. Perhaps wording in coolify could be updated to make this more clear.
