Using Cursor I asked it for a more modern and polished look. There were some iterations and some manual fixups along the way. There's possibly some CSS duplication to be cleaned up, but let's worry about it later.
This was done without AI assistance. I wanted them to seem more integrated with the background color of the page. Also stretched them out and tweaked them so the two instances on the home page are not exactly the same. I'm not 100% with exactly how it looks, but I think it's an improvement.
- Make them side-by-side instead of in a vertical column. - Make the "download all" look the same as the other two. (Note that it only appears if the user's platform and OS can be detected, which I expect is nearly always.) There was some AI assistance here, but mostly it was done manually.
The information is still relevant, but I figure it doesn't need to be taking up such a lot of home page real estate, now that some time has past.
The old logo doesn't look good with the fresh color scheme so some tweaking was needed. We're using a PNG here, so it's not as easy as it might be with a pure SVG. I'm using Inkscape on the ec-logo-final.svg to tweak the colors, and then exporting a PNG file. WIP, since I'm not happy with this color.
