Well not very reliable on my rpi5 8GB

1. Installed on rpi 5/8GB/128GB SDCard using latest Rpi Imager.
2. Connecting to wifi using own direct AP did not work. I had to use directly connected keyboard, ctrl+N and type in ssid and password.
3. It has connected. Strangely on device page (ip adress:8000) it says wifi country -> India and I did have changed that to Czech Republic.
4. Wifi drops after few minutes, using NetworkManager conf file with power.save=2 I disabled powersave, but it did not help.
5. Changes to Playlist, sending some Ticker text, or anything else wont work immediately, I have to reboot player to see them - I guess to reconnect to receive by player.
6. In pisignage dashboard, the player is described as Raspberry Pi4 - not true, it is rpi5.
7. I have applied player update offered in dashboard.

I'm using Raspberry Pi's as well. Also seeing the fact that it's identified as a Raspberry Pi 4 (though I don't believe this impacts any functionality). I had some wifi issues in one of my facilities, but that was seemingly due to the configuration of our placement of our Wifi AP's at that site. After moving the Pi's to another site where we intend them to remain, the connectivity has been stable. I attribute this to differences in wifi coverage and the fact that the wifi antennas internal to the Pi's aren't that good. My plan for sites where the RPi's have difficulty staying connected to the Wifi is to either connect the devices to hardwire ethernet, improve the wifi coverage with additional AP's, or I'm considering some sort of external wifi antenna (or usb NIC with external antenna) on the Pi.

I hadn't considered the power save option. Thanks for that tip.
