Phase 1: Global tasks

• check if SEO plugin has accessibility capabilities (and usefulness on front end): Yoast automatically checks for readability
• evaluate site for accessibility: https://www.w3.org/WAI/test-evaluate/
• needs to be discoverable by web crawlers first (see instructions in comment on Add SEO plugin #23)

Phase 2: Local tasks

• separate text and headings where necessary
• apply proper heading tags
• verify alt text present and appropriate for each image
• font formatting: avoid all caps
• edit text for clear and plain language use
• evaluate link text to make it meaningful: https://www.washington.edu/accessibility/links/
• color contrast: evaluate for text:background contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1
