You shouldn't set z-index in directive.

zIndex = $(this).css('z-index');
$(this).css('z-index', 99999);

and

$(this).css('z-index', zIndex);

It caused a bug, when set drag option {helper:'clone'}.

Use jQueryUIDraggable option zIndex

What kind of bug are you referring at? The only issue I think of is that zIndex can not be customized for now and jQueryUI draggable's zIndex option would be helpful in this scenario.

Issue is that z-index is not being restored, despite the line that set z-index back to initial value. This is because mutateDraggable is being called in a timeout delay. The delayed mutateDraggable clears the z-index. See pull request (#36) I just made, 'Do not reset css position when using helper: clone'
