Possible replacement with Perplexica or other FOSS tools?

This idea is coming from here, and that Perplexity's official API could be replaced with OpenRouter treated as gateway, or some other competitor of Perplexity. What if this can be replaced with something similar but self-hosted? https://github.com/eyaltoledano/claude-task-master/discussions/499
