feature request: support for flatbuffers

I've removed the initial first attempt. In favor of opening a PR on the flatbuffers repo itself. To adhere to the proprietary path.

@duglin no owrries, i registered via https://www.cncf.io/calendar/ to the meeting on the 30th, is that the right place?
