If a user finds a component or profile that mostly matches their needs but could use some small changes or improvements, it would be nice if they could signal this to the creator/owner so that they can consider jointly creating a new version of the item rather than the user starting a 'fork'.
A basic implementation of this could consist of a contact form allowing (authenticated) users to leave a message for the owner. Or perhaps the commenting feature could be extended for this purpose.
