Disclosure: I run Barcodepedia.
Barcodepedia (https://barcodepedia.com) is a free product encyclopedia sorted by barcode. No account and no ads. Each fact links to the page it came from.
It could sit in "Brand/trademark information search", next to WIPO, TMDN and TESS. Those start from a brand name. This starts from a product on a shelf and tells you who is behind it: the brand owner, the company making it under licence and the GS1 barcode registrant, which are often different companies. For example, Coca-Cola in Denmark is bottled by Carlsberg under licence: https://barcodepedia.com/company/carlsberg-danmark
Suggested row:
| [Barcodepedia](https://barcodepedia.com/) | Free product encyclopedia by barcode: brand owner, licensee and GS1 registrant behind a product, every fact cited |
Limits: not open data and no public API. Coverage is about 1,600 products today, mostly food and drink from North America, the Nordics and the EU, and it is growing quickly as new products are added from public sources.
