TMail is a lightweight, efficient, and privacy-focused browser extension that lets you generate temporary email addresses instantly using the mail.tm API. Protect your real email from spam and keep your primary inbox clean—all while preserving the original formatting of incoming messages.

TMail is completely free to use. There are no hidden charges, no subscriptions, and no payment required. You can generate and manage temporary email addresses without any cost.

Installation

For Chrome

  1. Clone or Download the Repository:
    Click the green Code button above the files and click on download zip to download the files
  2. Open Chrome Extensions:
    Navigate to chrome://extensions/ in your Chrome browser.
  3. Enable Developer Mode:
    Toggle the Developer Mode switch in the top right corner.
  4. Load Unpacked Extension:
    Click on Load unpacked (in top left corner)and select the folder containing the extension(make sure to extract the file before uploading).
  5. Start Using TMail:
    The extension will appear in your toolbar, ready to generate temporary email addresses.

For Firefox

  1. Clone or Download the Repository:
    Get the latest version of TMail from GitHub.
  2. Open Firefox Debugging:
    Navigate to about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox.
  3. Load Temporary Add-on:
    Click Load Temporary Add-on and select the manifest.json file from the extension folder.

Usage

  1. Generate Email:
    Click the TMail icon in your browser toolbar, then click Generate Email to create your temporary email address.
  2. Copy Email:
    Tap the clipboard icon next to your generated email to copy it to your clipboard. A "Copied" notification will briefly appear below the email.
  3. View Inbox:
    The integrated inbox updates in real-time as new emails arrive.
  4. Read Emails:
    Click on any email in the list to view its content in a modal overlay that preserves the original formatting.
  5. Create New Mail:
    Use the Create New Mail button to clear the current session and generate a fresh temporary email address.
