Offer KartPad's experimental iPhone/iPad build on Intel Macs through an explicit ios_intel_mac catalog opt-in. Other games keep their current host restrictions, and native Mac app builds still require Apple Silicon.
Update KartPad's fallback iOS recipe to its current game-pack pipeline, preserve Xcode iOS-platform preflight, and correct outdated catalog text claiming ready-made Apple app downloads. The catalog audit now refuses a catalog/release mismatch for Intel support. Command-runner tests use their own synthetic recipes instead of relying on an obsolete catalog command.
Validation:
Publish the matching KartPad source/recipe before releasing this PadMint change. No released assets have been modified. Full-disc compilation on physical Intel hardware and device gameplay of the Intel-produced IPA remain unverified.
KartPad's Mac copy (added)
KartPad's Mac guide tells players to choose Mac in PadMint, but PadMint never offered it. Players on Apple Silicon Macs saw only Android and iPhone/iPad ("I can't see the build in PadMint").
catalog/kartpad.jsonoffersmacoson Apple Silicon Macs, with install steps in en/es/pt: open the app, Gatekeeper's Open Anyway, replace the app to update, then choose the extracted DATA folder.requirements.toolsentry can now nametargets. KartPad 0.8.0 will mark Xcode as needed for its iOS and Mac copies only, so an Android pack built on a Mac doesn't ask for Xcode. Older PadMint ignores the field. One new test covers this.Depends on KartPad 0.8.0 (owned by the KartPad release work). It must publish the Intel host from kartpad#443 and a Mac recipe that gets dotnet, cmake, ninja and nodtool from PadMint, doesn't need ripgrep, and marks Xcode as a player requirement for
iosandmacos. Until then,scripts/audit-catalog.pyreports the Intel mismatch and this PR must not be released. Before release, a fresh Mac build without Homebrew tools on PATH must reach the package stage.Checked: 298 tests pass; the audit's only problem is that expected Intel/recipe mismatch.
Now PadMint 0.4.14 (updated after 0.4.13)
Merged with main (0.4.12 file checks, 0.4.13 download copy and catalog check). The requirement filters combine: a recipe tool can be limited by
hosts,targetsandinput_formats. KartPad'sunoffered_targetsentry is removed because this PR offers the Mac copy. The README answer "Can I play KartPad on my Mac?" now says yes (Apple Silicon, This Mac). Version 0.4.14 with a STATUS entry.Release gate: the new Catalog check fails on this PR until KartPad 0.8.0 publishes a recipe with the Intel host (
kartpad: catalog offers iPhone on Intel Mac but the published recipe does not). That is intended. Merge and release only after KartPad 0.8.0 is out and the check passes. 323 tests pass locally.
