Permission to relicense modified BBCode parser for Joomla component

I am developing a Joomla 5 component called "Kunena Topic to Article" that converts forum topics into Joomla articles. I have been using your excellent BBCode parser (chriskonnertz/bbcode) in my component, and I want to thank you for creating such a useful library!

For submission to the Joomla Extensions Directory (JED), I needed to modify some of your parser files and add GPL license headers to comply with JED requirements. The modified parser is included as part of my GPL-licensed component.

I wanted to reach out to:

1. Inform you about this usage
2. Request your permission to relicense the modified version under GPL-2.0-or-later (while maintaining attribution to you as the original author and preserving the MIT license notice)
3. Ensure I'm properly crediting your work

Currently, I have:

• Included your original MIT LICENSE file (as LICENSE_MIT.txt)
• Added attribution in README crediting you and linking to your repository
• Added GPL headers to modified files with notes about original MIT license
