Couldn't load configuration system - GUI won't start anymore

Error message that says that the configuration system couldn't get initialised. Not sure what's meant with that

What is Expected?

Normal running chocolatey gui

How Did You Get This To Happen?

Not sure what caused it as I normally run upgrade -all at the system start. I guess either that or a windows update broke the chocolatey ( gui ).

Additional Context

Chocolatey also report different error messages regard .registry.bad entries. Tried to fix it with "the" script but it always came back after I tried to start chocolatey gui.

A complete fresh install - rename chocolatey folder to chocolatey.bak, delete main folder and ran install script again - wouldnt work and the error happens again.
Really not ssure what else I can do to get it working again...

As the chocolateygui development seems to be dead and if anyone else has a similar problem here's the solution:

1. Run the corrupt registry fix script from https://docs.chocolatey.org/en-us/troubleshooting/#a-corrupt-registry-file-exists
2. choco uninstall chocolateygui -y --force
3. choco install chocolateygui --version 2.1.0 -y --force # install chocolateygui v2.1.0
4. Pin chocolateygui ( stop automatic updates )
