Storm Tracking Scripts

Version 2.0.1

This is the first CEMAC update to the Storm Scripts in Python 2.7 and 3.6.

Features

The 3500 lines of code from the original version 1.0.0 have been stripped down to around 1000 and a lot of the hard coding has been removed, These scripts should now be robust to work on different simulations and areas. The set up of these scripts is that they can be easily tailored for extra functionality and can be ran as a batch job on a HPC if required.

This release comes with example scripts and requirements and in installation information in the readme.

Storm Tracking Scripts

DOI

This version contains the original scripts developed by Rory Fitzpatrick. Using a list of storms these scripts find a set of storms meeting a set of criteria (location and size, intensity) and then searches through the output to collect selected variables and calculate statistics on the selected storms. Finally, the scripts produce a set of plots for the storms.
