State of this library?

(Yes, it's one of those threads. Sorry 😄)

I really like the design of this library, and I have started using it in a new commercial project. However, to be able to gauge the full extent of this (technical debt) investment, I would like to ask about the state of this library.

While some smaller PRs have been merged just a couple of months ago, there are some groundwork PRs and issues that have been started but not finished since years, most noteworthy snapshotting and input validation, which provides actual implementation for features that are already designed into the existing types (like EventType's parseEventDetail function).

So the question boils down to: is this library considered active by its authors? Is it in some kind of maintenance mode? Or is it abandoned?

I'm not really convinced that merging #199 serves well as a response to this question. Given the fact that the PR was never even successfully released, and my remark regarding this was not addressed for weeks, it feels more like "this library is somewhere between dead and maintained on a minimum-effort basis"
