reaccuring taks status

Is there a way to simply change the status of a task upon recurrence? I have a list of habits that I would like to reoccur daily and appear as any status other than "done." Currently If I mark A Task Note as complete it marks it as done on all future reassurances, Is there way to avoid this and have the status reset when the task reoccurs on a new day?

I tried to have list of TaksNotes in my Daily Notes template, but even in a new daily note it still marks the task as done when I start a New daily note on a different day. Please advise. Thank you

I'm not sure if I follow your issue but, my limited understanding is that a link to a TaskNote shows its current status (complete/incomplete) for today, and the next date it is due and/or scheduled if any, and how much time has been logged on a task if any.
So, if you type [[Task A]] in your daily note, and Task A is incomplete, due today and repeats tomorrow you will see something like this:
⃝ Task A Sep 24

If you mark it complete, you will see
⚫️ Task A Sep 25

TaskNotes doesn't consider the date of the Daily Note. (links show as an inline TaskNote)

Also if [[Task A]] is on yesterday's daily note or today's daily note you might not be marking complete the occurrence that you mean to mark off. To be sure, it's best to click on Task A (the task name) and look for the mini calendar under Completions. That allows you to mark off precisely which date is complete.
