Hi @kmaustral . That's not good to hear! I don't think disabling note indexing will help (that setting doesn't actually do much anymore--since around version 3.0.0 TaskNotes has been using Obsidian's native cache, and so note indexing won't really affect performance anymore). I'd be inclined to think that it might have something to do with calendar subscriptions, if you have any? If you have a large number of calendar entries, and if they are refreshing often, that might cause your system to slow down. |

That explains it. I just did a manual refresh, and it froze the vault for
the same time. It is only one subscription. I've increased the refresh
interval, and I will do a manual refresh when needed instead.
Thanks.

For the past couple of weeks, I've noticed that my vault freezes for about 15 seconds about every twenty minutes. (The fact that I notice this indicates how much I use Obsidian. ) As far as I can tell, this freezing stops when I disable TaskNotes.
I have disabled note indexing in the Misc options.
Would there be any other recurrent indexing by TaskNotes that might explain this?
I realise that this problem is a difficult one to trace. But it would be good to understand this.
[I'm using one of these freezes to post this.]
