Summary

Makes @callstack/repack-expo a publishable package. 0.0.1 has already been published manually to npm under the alpha tag, so the package exists on the registry and can be released through the normal changesets flow from now on.

  • Remove private: true and add a public publishConfig matching the other plugins
  • Set the version to 0.0.1 to match what is published
  • Remove the package from the changesets ignore list so changesets can version it (it is versioned independently, outside the 5.x fixed group)
  • Update the README notice from "private, not published" to alpha install instructions (@callstack/repack-expo@alpha)

No changeset is included: 0.0.1 is already on npm, so changeset publish will skip it.

Before merging

  • Configure the npm trusted publisher for @callstack/repack-expo (GitHub Actions, callstack/repack, workflow release.yml) so the release job can publish future versions via OIDC

Notes

Because 0.0.1 was the first version, npm also pointed latest at it. A regular changeset for this package will publish the next version as latest. To keep automated releases on alpha, changesets pre mode would be needed, and that applies to the whole repo.

Test plan

  • pnpm --filter @callstack/repack-expo... build, typecheck, test
  • pnpm pack: workspace:^ rewritten to ^5.4.2, CLI shebang present, no stale dist files
  • npm view @callstack/repack-expo dist-tags → alpha: 0.0.1

Make @callstack/repack-expo publishable: drop private, add a public
publishConfig, set the version to the published 0.0.1 alpha, and stop
ignoring it in changesets so future releases go through the normal flow.
