CF Humidifier

Welcome

This device helps in monitoring the temperature and humidity of indoor environments. These instructions will assist you in the installation and configuration of the device.

Starting Up

Power ON your device (USB, 5v)

Connecting your device to your Wi-Fi Network

When your device starts up for the first time, it will create a Wi-Fi Access Point named "ESP-DEVICE_ID" (Eg. ESP-DF02B). The default password is "12345678".

If your device has a Display, you can see these info on that:

Once you are connected the following website will show up for you:

Tap on "Configure WiFi" and you will can setup your Wi-Fi connection:

Tap on "Save" and your device will be restarted, from now on it will try to connect to defined Wi-Fi Network. If it can't connect to that it will create the Access Point again for a new configuration.

Display TB OFfline

Once you are connected to your network, your device will be available for configuration through the IP showing under your Wi-Fi name. Accessing the IP you can change reconfigure your Wi-Fi Network, configure your server, update the firmware, restart the device or even erase all the configuration you have made before.

PS: If you don't setup any network, the access point will disappear within 30 seconds and you can use the device Offline. Note every time you restart the device, it will give you a new opportunity of connecting your Wi-Fi network.

Connecting to ThingsBoard

Note on upper right corner there is a phone icon and OFF right after the icon. That indicates your device is not connected to ThingsBoard!

Access the device IP on your browser and you will see the screen you have seen when you was setting up your Wi-Fi Network. But now, you will click on "Setup", and see something like:

Enter a name that you can identify the device, the server of your ThingsBoard and the device token registered on ThingsBoard.

  • Trigger: The percent value that the humidifier should start to make fog.
  • Working Time: Time in Seconds that the humidifier should work constantly.
  • Delay Time: Time in Seconds that the humidifier should wait before turn fog maker on again.

Then, tap on "Save" and it's all set!

PS: Wait few seconds for the "OFF" next to the phone icon become "ON", otherwise you have entered either the server or the token wrong and the device couldn't connecting to that.

Updating the Firmware

READ: Please, DO NOT do that if you don't understand the risks! Contact to support for either more info or any help.

Download the file corresponding to your device and access the device IP on your browser and you will see the screen you have seen when you was setting up your Wi-Fi Network. You will click on "Update", and see something like:

Select the bin file and click on a red "Update" that will appear after you have selected the BIN file.

Display and Knob Button

There's a knob and button that will able you to config the humidifier!

When you click the button you can notice a little change in the bottom right value and you can see 3 values followed by % (Percent Sign), WT and DT.

  • % (Percent Sign): Humidity Trigger, the percent value that the humidifier should start to make fog.
  • WT: Working Time in Seconds that the humidifier should work constantly.
  • DT: Delay Time in Seconds that the humidifier should wait before turn fog maker on again.

You can change those values rotating the knob either to right or to left once you are seeing the value that you want to change.

Start AP Mode

To start the AP mode you should press and hold the button for at least 3 seconds or when you can see "AP" on bottom right corner of the display.

Hard Reseting device

To hard reset the device you should press and hold the button for at least 10 seconds or when the display turns off.

Note: After that, you should reconfigure the device as described in this manual.
