When you hide points,which you possibly want for line graphs, it also hides the points for scatter graphs. I can't think of why this would be the desired behaviour, although I can understand why they are treated similarly.
For example, I show a curve behind a scatter graph, and I have to manually remove the line points at the moment, as otherwise they all hide.
