Adding Characters

To add characters into your game, in the "Characters" tab on the ribbon, click "Add Existing". You'll then be greeted with a configuration window, where you can set the functions required to operate a character in easyCase.

In the future, a method will be added to create characters using a GUI. This is not possible in easyCase as of writing (Pre-release v0.1)

Switching Characters

To switch character, double click a character in the "Characters" list on the main screen, then click "Apply Preview Changes".

A few things happen when you switch to a new character.

  1. The character is set as the "Current Character" (eg. the one on screen).
  2. Character visibility is set to True.
  3. They are put in their default pose.
  4. Their character files are loaded into RAM (if they're not already loaded)
  5. The name box is set to the character's name.

So, when loading in a new character, consider these factors.

Posing Characters

Once you've added a character to the scene, you now also have the option to pose them. To do this, on the "Characters" tab, click "Pose". In here, you can select any given pose for the character currently on screen.

Be careful, because for any attorney or prosecutor, some of them are "in-court" sprites, meaning they look extremely odd when used outside of court. Just double check beforehand.

If you have any errors when using these functions, please check the common errors page, found here. After looking at that page, if none of the solutions work, feel free to contact me on Github here.
