I added some sample data (in backend/sample_data) to the Firestore emulator and had it auto import when running npm run start. I also updated the README to reflect the changes.
You can update the sample data by running
firebase emulators:export --project rateeverything sample_datain the backend. This will save whatever data you have in the emulator to sample_data.
