Crash when staging large .txt files

I have some large files in .txt format whenever I try and stage them they automatically load a preview of the file, which is massive and causes gitx to crash, can you make the preview of files optional preventing crashing please?

How large are the files?

Clicking on the icon in the list should stage (and unstage) a file without leaving it selected.

This happens to me all the time.

Files around ~1 MiB.
