Dropdown menus don't register events with javascript on page

It seems like dropdown menus on webpages don't always register the selection that I've made using the link bubble. For example, navigate to a page that filters based on a dropdown (ie a craigslist search page). Attempt to narrow the search to only san francisco (all SF bay area -> san francisco)

Expected: search updates, narrowed to results listed in san francisco
Actual: page does not update.

If I open the page in Brave, it works as expected.

Same Problem with dropdown menu on EBay. When I choose a sort (Price + Shipping lowest first), the sort criteria is not updated.
