Search bar not functioning correctly

Description

After switching tabs the search bar stops taking input

Steps to reproduce

1. open new tab
2. search first half like "this is a "
3. go to different tab
4. go back to your new tab
5. finish search "test" and press enter

Actual result

Only searched what you typed at first. in this case "this is a "

Expected result

should have searched what you actually typed. in this case "this is a test"

I'm having others take a look. I'm not able to reproduce this given your steps. I pulled out the tab into it's own window to create the screenshot below but had other tabs previously.
