About Use Case Diagram and Examples

Before designing the use case diagram, we researched it. It helps us to understand what is the use case diagram, why is it used for, and how can we build a proper use case diagram in our context? There are many sites, and some of them are very useful for our project.

Here are some links that we found during research and used when we designed.

This is a site for understanding design diagrams better, called Visual Paradigm. It includes definitions, explanations, and many examples.

Use cases specify the expected behavior (what), and not the exact method of making it happen (how). Use cases once specified can be denoted both textual and visual representation (i.e. use case diagram). A key concept of use case modeling is that it helps us design a system from the end user's perspective. So we prepare a use case diagram to understand our system in terms of users. It shows us some of the relations, but not the steps or order of action.

This site is one of the links shared with us(Lucidchart) in the assignment document. It has been helpful since it contains many templates for diagrams. In addition to the use case diagrams, it has sequence diagrams, and basic activity diagrams, and so on.
