Biodiesel power gen - getting industrial hemp seeds

I'm trying out the first power gen setup you described in the Age 4 section, but I think I'm missing something here.
To produce Biodiesel, industrial hemp seeds and melon slices are crucial here. Acquiring the latter is done with garden cloches so I guess that covers it, but what about industrial hemp seeds? How do you get enough of those to keep two diesel generators running?
With the setup I tried on a local world it took me 7 garden cloches (5 of them growing industrial hemp, 2 of them - melons) to power just one diesel generator, and it still occasionally has like 2-3 seconds of downtime every now and then...

To be honest I haven't played this modpack in a while, someone else wrote this and I've never reached age 4. I looked over the setup he described and don't have any advice.
