It used to work, I think, but now it for sure doesn't. I'll try another approach that does work for me in another script I use which uses org.freedesktop.ScreenSaver. Putting out here so if things improve this can be used.

Needed for Gtk.Application.inhibit
* works on Xorg and Wayland.
* uses xdg-desktop-portal but it requires an implementation
