'dropon' problems on mobile (Android)

The dropon event doesn't trigger on Android in both Chrome and Firefox.

Update: I can also reproduce this by turning on "emulate touch events" in Chrome dev tools.

This wound up being a pretty simple fix - tests still pass and I don't see any other consequences. Given the complexity of the code and the amount of time I've spent trying to understand a pretty narrow slice of it, I might be very wrong.
