Description
'Labman' is disconcertingly male-directed (I've heard 'labperson' a few times so I know I'm not the only one).
'Manager' is derived from the latin 'manus' for hand, and ultimately pertains to the 'by-hand' nature of work.
'Man' is germanic in origin, related more directly to maleness.
Perhaps it's not too late to propose an alternative?
