If I sell 20M of a console first month at 500$, I get the reduction cost of 45% inmediatly, now the people will not buy my console unless I put it on 300$ or less, that is a very wierd behavior.
Describe the solution you'd like
The sales of the console should be attached to the other consoles in the market, if it's more powerfull and cheap than others, no matter if I'm making 500$ of profit, they will buy it, or you could make the suggested price dependant on year and power of the console, like it's not the same price for a console of 50 50 power on 1996 than in 2020. Nintendo Switch it's the console with the best sales of history, and it's much less powerfull than Xbox One, Play Station 4, and subsequent versions, but I understand that making a real market behavior could be a problem, so...
Describe alternatives you've considered
Make getting the discount a more progressive behavior, like 1% at month maximum, so in 1 year we get a 12% fabrication discount, or something like that, also making the suggested price based on time and initial manufacturing price, so I'm getting more profit each month due to 1% of fabrication discount each month, but after 1 year the suggested price goes 10% lower and so on, so I'm getting less profit, after 7 or 8 years the suggested price would be lower than fabrication cost so the people will star buying other consoles and I should have to 1) sell on loss or 2) make other console.
