can't open deluge webui with vpn enabled

I can't access tcp/8112 from my local network when vpn is enabled. I have lan_network set appropriately and I *think* I'm supposed to set vpn_input_ports to 8112 to allow this? The documentation isn't clear, but if I search my log for my local network, I only see results for iptables opening up traffic to 8118 and 58846.
