Colored output with ANSI escape sequences

Thoughts on allowing colored output if stdout is going to a terminal? Personally I like to see green on success and red on failure for commands as it's an immediate visual indicator that everything was gravy or something went south.

It goes without saying that this would be a post 1.0.0 feature as I feel it's more important to have the core functionality first.

Yup, definitely ok. Should work the same way as ls --color=auto (detecting whether output is to a terminal). Also, definitely post 1.0

This stack overflow question has information about how to control colored output according to whether the shell is connected to a TTY, or something else. Apparently test has the answer!

Yup. I found another similar Stack Overflow question and planned to use test when we get around to implementing this.
