This does not produce any console output, and setting <form hx-post="/something" hx-config='{"requestClass":"foobar"}'> also does not change the default .htmx-request class that was added to hx-indicator

Just added that exact meta tag to a test HTML file and it shows console logging fine for me. ideally it should be {"logAll":true} as it is json format but the code handles all strings as true here.

requestClass is a global htmx-config value and is not customizable via hx-config as this is only for request config settings so we need to improve the documentation of this attribute.

hmmm, it’s kind of sad if I can’t specify requestClass for different forms. I have some buttons that should add .is-loading, and some forms use a mask so they should use .is-showing 🥲

Also, the JSON format of htmx-config may be related to this:
htmx-config with comma-separated key=value pairs instead of JSON
