I have tested this change in the Android emulator for a content item that sets
base64_file
and it works. The native implementation doesn’t support loading .m3u8 files from local contentURLs, possibly because the .m3u8 contains absolute URLs. We’re already working around some native HLS issues on Android so we should probably just use HLS.js on this platform which seems to resolve these problems.
