Query logs, traces, and metrics with KQL from your terminal or AI agent.

bzrk is the command-line client for Berserk. Investigate observability data, manage your cluster, and automate queries with structured output.

Install

curl -fsSL https://go.bzrk.dev | bash

Available for Linux (x86_64 and ARM64) and macOS (Apple Silicon). The installer places bzrk in ~/.local/bin; make sure that directory is on your PATH. See the installation guide for more options.

Quick start

You need a Berserk cluster and a user account. Start with the local quick-start guide to try Berserk on your machine, or follow the managed quick-start guide for a deployment we run for you.

Connect to your cluster

Replace the example URL with your cluster's query/gateway URL. For the local quick start, use http://localhost:9500.

bzrk profile add my-cluster --endpoint https://your-cluster.example.com
bzrk profile use my-cluster
bzrk login

Follow the browser sign-in instructions, then check your connection and discover your tables:

bzrk auth status
bzrk search '.show tables'

If your data is in another database, set it with bzrk profile set my-cluster --database my-database. Use the query/gateway URL for your profile; the OTLP ingest endpoint is for sending telemetry.

Run your first query

Use a table name from .show tables. These examples use logs, the logs-and-traces table in a managed deployment:

# Inspect recent rows
bzrk search "logs | take 10" --since "1h ago"

# Count rows over the last day
bzrk search "logs | count" --since "24h ago" --no-stream

# Export results as JSON for scripts
bzrk search "logs | take 100" --since "1h ago" --json

Interactive searches stream snapshots as the scan progresses. Use --no-stream or a structured format such as --json when you need the final result. Learn more in the search guide.

Use with an AI agent

Give Codex, Claude Code, or another coding agent access to bzrk, then start with:

bzrk help agents
bzrk help topics

The CLI detects supported agents automatically; you can also pass --agent. Follow the AI agent setup guide or install Berserk agent skills.
