Hey @WeirdScienceX , do you have the same issue with downloading DLSS or anything else?

If you go into settings -> network tester, can you run through the series of tests and see if they all work?

Test 3 failed: The request was canceled due to the configured HttpClient.Timeout of 20 seconds elapsing.

Test 3 timed out after 20 seconds. There appears to be intermittent issues between DLSS Swapper and Cloudflare servers where we host the files.

This would be the same as #329.

I am unable to replicate the issues so it is really hard to debug. Next version of DLSS Swapper will have some additional tests, but I can't confirm if that will help resolve the issue or not.

If you could run all the tests again from v1.1.6.1 pre-release that I just uploaded we can see if that helps.

Hmm, it was exactly the same. So I did some further investigation.

I enabled a VPN and tried it again and the download worked fine.

So something is blocking a network request, And it's not country specific as I also tested with a VPN within my own country (UK) and one via France.

I tried swapping my DNS servers over to one without DNSSEC or filtering, and it still failed to download. However, disabling IPV6 and the download was successful.

So as far as I can, IPV6 connections are being blocked, I use quad9.

Was that disabling ipv6 on the VPN, or on your computer without VPN?

I'll see if I can disable ipv6 from being used from DLSS Swapper and do a v1.1.6.2

I enabled IPv6 on my network and confirmed it was working. Opened DLSS Swapper and I was not able to replicate.

I had implemented code to force using IPv4 to download files so I reversed it to explicitly only use IPv6 and it also worked. Incidentally Steam and Epic Game Store do not like us using IPv6 only

I am not sure if disabling IPv6 is a solution or something that happened to work in your case.

I'll see if in v1.1.6.1 if I can add a "disable IPv6" button and we can see if that helps for you if your revert your network into its previously broken state.

As a workaround while I continue to investigate the networking issues I have written a guide here on how to download and manually install DLLs into DLSS Swapper itself to trick it into thinking they are now downloaded. This still requires you to be able to download the DLL zips in your browser.

I have just put up v1.1.6.2 pre-release. It has a new test to try an alternate mirror to see if that helps with download issues. If you could run all the tests again (feel free to just grab the portable app, network test is all that has really changed) and post the results.

It has me baffled, as both on Windows and Linux I have no issue with downloads.
