[BUG] Sometimes DLSS are not downloaded

When you click the download button DLSS versions, nothing happens. I have to constantly restart the application in order for the download process to start.

P.S. I'm really looking forward to DLSS 4

Is it still happening now? DLSS Swapper uses cloudflare are they are currently having issues in Brazil, is that where you are?

Hey, I'm also having this issue. I have just downloaded the most recent DLSS Swapper (1.1.4) but I am unable to download any of the DLSS files from the library. I'm based in the UK. I have also tried downloading through the 'game' tab, but nothing happens there either.

Hey @beeradmoore , this happened in version 1.1.3.1 and all previous versions of the application also loaded DLSS poorly, with delays. As I said earlier, I had to restart the application or wait for more than 10 minutes. To be more detailed, when clicking on the download of any DLSS version, nothing happened. I have no problems with the Internet, don't worry. And no, I'm not in Brazil.

For people having issues dowloading this download link work in your browser? Cloudflare are reporitng "degraded performance" with regard to R2 which is where these files are stored. If the download works in the browser but doens't work in the app then that is something I can look at. If it doens't work in the browser then the issue is between you and Cloudflares network (or their network themselves) and there is a lot less I can do.

This is a known issue, it is listed in the known issues of the release notes, it is being tracked here #281

I have no problems with the Internet

There is a differnece between having access to the internet, and being able to access a very specific site on the internet. That is why we have the test above.

DLSS 4 was added around the same time as v1.1, it is in v1.0.5. Actually it may have even been in v1.0.5. The problem is if you can't access our download servers then you can't get the updated list of DLLs so maybe that is why you don't see it? If you go get v1.0.5 portable does it show then?

Ah, I get it. I tried to download the file that you provided, and indeed, the download is not happening. Apparently, the problem is with the site where the DLSS library is located. In this case, I don't understand at all how it will be possible to download anything without turning on the VPN.

The latest version I see is 310.2.1 in DLSS Swapper. Is this DLSS 4 versions? And the question is, how could DLSS 4 have been released earlier in DLSS Swapper than Nvidia itself released the update? I'm not talking about Multi Frame Generation, if anything

P.S. And I would like to replace DLSS in Baldur's Gate 3 with DLSS 4 (new version)

Changed: You don't want to say that version 310.1.0 and 310.2.0 are DLSS 4, do you? I don't see any special differences in BG3. Why is it called that? Why not call it version 4 instead of 310?

Thank you for updating the wonderful DLSS Swapper app. I thought that I would not use it after the release of the DLSS replacement update in Nvidia App, however, I was wrong.

I don't understand at all how it will be possible to download anything without turning on the VPN.

The internet is like the roads in a town. You life on one side, and I live on the other. You know my address so you start driving to me. Go down this street, turn left here, turn right there, but at some point you come across a road that is closed so you have to turn around and go home. But when put on the VPN it is possible that the roads it takes to get from you to me are different and it happens not go near that closed road.

But if you then go to McDonalds without the VPN, you also don't go near the blocked road and you get there fine.

This is why your internet may appear to work for one place but not the other. And why using a VPN (or simply changing your DNS) may fix the issue. Maybe the issue only happens on a VPN and works when you are not on the VPN. It's very complex.

The files (both the list of DLLs and the DLLs themselves) are now hosted on a service called Cloudflare R2. It is a file hosting service. I went with them because it is cheap. We are on track to transfer 15TB this month. If I went with Amazon (anther large internet services provider) that bandwidth would cost me US$1500/month. I simply would have to shutdown DLSS Swapper.

Cloudflare power large portions of the internet and are experts at what they do. I am disspaointed we are having these outages. I'll go file a suppor ticket with them and see if they can see things being wrong on their end.

Correct. 310.2.1 is the version of the DLL if you right mouse click on it and go properties and see what Windows says it is. They should have named it DLSS 4, but they didn't, and now there is mass confusion.

Because Cyberpunk 2077 update with DLSS 4 released before NVIDIA App update released. NVIDIA App not having the latest DLLs in their app is why DLSS Swapper is still relevant. Plus their system may only work with some games they say you can use it in. We allow you to use it in any game.

In version 1.0.5.0, the latest DLSS version, I see only 310.1. Even less than it was..

v1.0.5 used GitHub to distribute its DLLs and DLL lists. Everything has moved to Cloudflare in v1.1
v1.0.5 will no longer be getting further DLL updates. DLSS v310.1 is in DLSS Swapper v1.0.5 because it was added before DLSS v1.1 was released.

I understood. Nvidia, as always, is in its repertoire. It's not your fault.

Go to DLSS Swapper settings and use the option for on screen indicator for all DLSS DLLs, and then go launch your game. It should show up in the lower right.

Thanks for the info. In the next update I'll try put in a network test for people to click to see if the issue is downloading from the DLSS Swapper fileserver, or accessing the internet from within DLSS Swapper with our download code.

It started working today.
It seems that cloudflare was having problems AGAIN
