QR code generates successfully but nothing happens when scanned in Signal

The problem

I'm able to generate a new QR and my camera app correctly parses the QR code and loads Signal on the linking screen. Once I confirm to 'Link Device' nothing happens. The 'My linked devices' section remains empty.

Update: Tried all 3 modes (normal, native, json-rpc) and still same issue. Sometimes Signal app displays a 'Network error' message or some other failure message. Most of the time nothing happens

i did notice that the qr code looks different than the one to link the desktop machine (that worked)

the qr code is read, the phone app redirects to the linked devices page - but nothing happens

@MightContainNuts - Looks like the problem is intermittent. I tried again and somehow got it to work. Perhaps keep trying at different times of the day? It might be a server issue?

Hello! I am facing the same issue. The QR code is well generated but when I try to link a device it doesn't work and I get an error stating "network error" on the phone. No error on the logs nor nothing.

I ran into this, in my case it seemed to be related to a time issue. I'm not sure if the system time was off, or if it just took a while to start the api and generate a QR code. I made sure all my times were correct and relaunched the api and generated two QR codes (the second one by reloading the page) and then the second one worked. Your mileage may vary.

Finally I solved this issue by checking out the version 0.92 of the code and redeploying the docker. You will need to delete the old image for it to work.
