Doubt about create NEW html page on my jekyll site hosted on GitHub Pages.

The method that I found and read on Docs to create a new pages were: Create a HTML file or .MD file and it would be build e ready. But when I create a file, for example: projects.md with some stuff wrote in the root dir of the repository, nothing happen. Why? Someone could help me?

Hey there,

You're almost there, the page exists and can be navigated to, here: https://francamacdowell.github.io/projects/

However, you're not seeing a link in the navigation bar because you haven't added it. To do this, if you head to _layouts/default.html and checkout lines 30 and 31. If you add a line to say <a href="{{ site.baseurl }}/projects">Projects</a> that should do the trick. Let me know how that goes.

Okay, I did that.
Also already commited, but still don't seeing in the navigation bar. What else am I doing wrong?

And I'm sorry, I'm so bad about web and this kind of stuff. hehe

It has worked. It just takes some time for the site to be rebuilt. You just need to remove the projects.html files from the _layouts folder and root. Leaving only the projects.md file in root.

For others stumbling across this issue:

• Create a file in root with name.md, copying across the headers tags in the about.md file changing them for the new page name.

• In _layouts/default.html on lines 30 and 31, add a line that points to the new files, using the about line as a reference.

If this has fixed the problem, go ahead and close the issue. Cheers.
