This repository serves as a personal documentation space where I'll be recording and sharing different ways I use Excalidraw. The goal is to create a reference for my future self and potentially help others who are exploring this tool.
In this repository, you'll find:
- Examples of different diagram types created with Excalidraw
- Tips and tricks for efficient usage
- Custom libraries of logos and templates
- Comparisons with other tools
Excalidraw is an open source drawing and diagramming tool this is in my opninon the easiest to get started drawing things and also live collaboration without the need for any email or signup process.
You can append .png
onto the filename, e.g diagram.excalidraw.png
and then that file can be versioned in GitHub to see history of changes.
You only need one file and can use one of the following methods to edit.
-
On the web using vscode.dev with the Excalidraw extenstion
-
Using Visual Studio Code with the Excalidraw extension
-
Using the web version of Excalidraw and opening the the cloned, or downloaded files
While this is primarily a personal reference project, I welcome suggestions and contributions. If you have interesting uses for Excalidraw or tips to share, please feel free to open an issue or submit a pull request.
