The BarkSide Static Starter Website

This repository contains a static starter website for The BarkSide, a local dog grooming and pet care business in Nampa, Idaho.

The site is built with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There are no frameworks, build tools, or npm dependencies, so it can be deployed directly with GitHub Pages.

Files

• index.html - one-page website content and Formspree-ready appointment request form
• styles.css - responsive layout, colors, cards, gallery placeholders, and mobile styling
• script.js - mobile menu, FAQ toggles, current year, and draft form handling
• .nojekyll - keeps GitHub Pages from running Jekyll processing

Customize Before Launch

The owner should update:

• Phone number
• Email address
• Real approved photos
• Formspree form ID
• Booking calendar or availability embed
• Current services
• Policies, availability, hours, and any other verified business details

Code comments are included in the HTML where real photos, booking tools, contact details, and the Formspree ID can be added.

GitHub Pages Deployment

1. Go to repository Settings.
2. Open Pages.
3. Set source to the main branch.
4. Save.
5. Visit the generated GitHub Pages URL.

Notes

This is a first-draft starter concept. It uses placeholders rather than copyrighted Facebook photos and does not invent pricing, hours, phone number, email, exact address, certifications, or policies.
