Undecided whether to use:

• A cell and line magic like (https://github.com/catherinedevlin/ipython-sql/blob/master/src/sql/magic.py) - great for interfacing with python code, but no syntax highlighting?
• A basic kernel (Basic jupyter kernel implementation #3) - works standalone notebook, low-level. Implementation uses iawk commands
• A metakernel (Jupyter process kernel #4) - does not work yet, and even if it does, can only interpret text input and not code (unlike bash or gnuplot)
