Some Common Issues and their Solution

Issue #1:

Home Screen not showing anything or keeps loading or no images are shown or showing just 1-2 Songs.

Solution:

If you are using any VPN, Ad-blocker or anything else that might restrict the app's network access then turn it off or allow the app through it. Or you can allow the app to access the following domains:

JioSaavn
*.cdnsrv.jio.com
*.saavncdn.com
www.jiosaavn.com
Spotify
www.spotifycharts.com
i.scdn.co
Google
*.googlevideo.com
*.youtube.com
*.firebaseio.com

Issue #2:

Spotify Charts always showing "Error: Service Unavailable"

Solution:

If you are using any VPN, Ad-blocker or anything else that might restrict the app's network access then turn it off or allow the app through it or allow the domains mentioned in the above answer.

Issue #3:

My country is not on the Local Charts List.

Solution:

Local Charts are fetched from the Spotify website. If your country is not on the list of countries on the website, then nothing can be done about that. Just wait for Spotify to add it.

Issue #4:

Search results showing Indian Results or No Results found.

Solution:

BlackHole uses JioSaavn, which doesn't have a database as big as that of Spotify, so some songs might not be available on JioSaavn, which results in Empty Screen or songs from different artists. But if the issue is happening even for common/famous English Songs then have a look at the issue below.

Issue #5:

Search Results always show Indian Results even if English Song is available for it.

Solution:

The exact solution is still not available but the only known workaround is using any VPN with an Indian Server.

Issue #6:

Spotify Charts showing search results on tap, instead of playing.

Solution:

The Top Charts are directly fetched from Spotify Website whereas the app uses JioSaavn to fetch Songs. Integrating two different platforms isn't possible. The only workaround is to search the songs from Spotify on JioSaavn which has been implemented. I will try to implement a better solution in the future.

Issue #7:

Playlists Imported from Spotify have all Indian Songs or songs from different artists.

Solution:

As described in Issue #6 integrating two platforms isn't possible. So the app searches the song in your Spotify playlist and adds the top search result to your playlist inside the app. As described in Issue #4 and #5. The search results can vary resulting in top search result different from the one in your Spotify Playlist. Resulting in a Playlist with Indian Songs or Songs from different artists.
