Compatibility with Irrealix Gaussian Splatter plugin

I can not get to work the GaussianSplatting plugin neither in After Effects nor DaVinci Resolve Studio (Intel Mac, Mac OSX Sequoia). The Irrealix plugin does not recognize Apple’s ply-files.

In After Effects I get this error message: „Failed to load model xxxx.ply with error: File does not contain gaussian splats. Must be only one element with name „vertex“ or „chunk“ and „vertex“ for compressed splats but have „vertex“, „extrinsic“, „image size“. In DaVinci Resolve the ply file is not showing up when pressing the source button.

Can you fix this, please?

Irrealix told me that on January 2nd, 2026 they are going to release a new version of their Gaussian Splatter plugin for After Effects and DaVinci Resolve that fixes this issue.
