Where the information came from. Everything here is assembled from material a member of the public can reach with a browser and no credentials — the company's own website, developer portal and documentation, the specifications it publishes for public use (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, JSON Schema,
apis.json,llms.txtand similar), its public repositories, and its public status, pricing and changelog pages. Nothing here is obtained by breaching a system, defeating an access control, or using credentials of any kind.The rating is an independent assessment. The Kin Score and Agent Readiness rating are independently calculated scores of a company's public API artifacts, produced by API Evangelist against a published rubric. They are not certifications, endorsements, security assessments, or audits, and they score published artifacts — not the quality, safety, or security of the software.

Chimoney is a developer-first global payouts and disbursement platform with deep coverage across Africa and 130+ countries. Its REST API sends money to bank accounts, mobile money wallets, airtime, gift cards, Chimoney wallets, and Interledger wallet addresses, and manages multicurrency wallets, sub-accounts, redemption, inbound payment collection, and reference lookups (supported banks, assets, exchange rates).
Chimoney is self-serve. You sign up at the developer dashboard, receive an API key immediately, and authenticate every request with that key in the X-API-KEY HTTP header. There are two environments:
- Sandbox —
https://api-v2-sandbox.chimoney.io— test against the full API surface with test funds, no live money movement. - Production —
https://api.chimoney.io— live payouts, enabled after account verification (KYB / compliance). Chimoney is MSB-licensed and PSP-licensed (Canada).
The current public API is v0.2, so full base URLs look like https://api.chimoney.io/v0.2/.... Asynchronous notifications are delivered via outbound webhooks you configure in the dashboard (Developers → App WebHooks → Endpoints); Chimoney POSTs JSON event payloads such as payout.bank.completed to your server. There is no WebSocket API.
Pricing is transaction-based (per-payout fees plus FX spread that vary by rail and destination country); Chimoney does not publish a numeric API price table, so the plans/ and finops/ documents here model it honestly with reconciled: false.
