SUMMARY

We want to provide an accompanying document with all major releases. Directed at the general user, the release notes highlight major changes and new features. This document also provides an organized highlight of supporting PRs and contributors, as well as links to other useful resources such as the full changelog, updating instructions, and the breaking change list.

Because the 1.0 release is a major milestone, the accompanying release notes provide a larger, more detailed summary with media.
