As "jar", "compiler" plugin all provides <includes>, <excludes> configuration. But quite surprisingly, "source" plugin doesn't provide them. It's quite important. My use case is for same POM project, i want package the jar and source-jars selectively depends certain profile. But now i can do it with "jar" and "compiler" plugin, but the "source" jar will always include everything.

I want to exclude metadata files created by my version control system (Serena Dimensions, by the way) from the sources jar. This is not possible at the moment since the "sources" plugin is missing the <excludes> tags known from the "jar" plugin, for instance.
