Looks good, I'll merge. Thank you for the attention to detail @Pulkitg64 -- the fp16 work is really important since so many ML systems produce fp16 vectors and Lucene wastefully indexes/stores these as fp32 otherwise.
The fp16 work is 11.0.0 only right? I don't see any fp16 backports to 10.x.. Could it be backported and we just haven't done so yet?

Yes, this will go in 11.0.0 only. Since this is a new big feature we decided to release all FP16 changes in Lucene 11 only (discussion thread). |
