I would need something like this:

import pyarrow as pa
import numpy as np
from scipy import sparse

array = sparse.random(1000, 1000)

serialized = pa.serialize(array)

assert np.array_equal(array.toarray(), serialized.deserialize().toarray())

I'll open a PR to address it.
